Term Two Week ThreeToday we learnt about the life cycle of a worm and worm castings. We had to collect the worm castings really carefully so that we did not hurt the worms and then we put the worm castings in our garden so that the soil can get lots of nutrients and help our plants grow. We talked about our food scrap bin and how the food is given to the worms so that we can have a school worm farm and have lots of worm castings to feed our garden. Pretty cool!!!!

Term 2 Week TwoWe are learning about plants. Today Mrs McConnell came into our class and talked to us about seeds. We looked at lots of different seeds...avocado, coconut, tomato, bean, radish and carrot seeds. We planted some seeds in seedling trays and took them to the Eco Greenhouse. We will need to water the seedlings everyday to make sure they do not dry out!
